Our Chosen Charity

At the Spinningfields Business Group, we proudly support Wood Street Mission, a local children’s charity based in the heart of Manchester.

Founded in 1869, the charity provides essential services to children and families living in poverty, including clothing, bedding, baby equipment, school uniforms and holiday food hampers. They also run children’s book clubs during school holidays to promote education and break the cycle of poverty.

Our group actively participates in fundraising events and monthly collections of much-needed supplies to assist the charity in helping 15,000 people each year. We have been involved in a number of events aimed at generating funds for the charity, and individual group members also collect much-needed supplies such as children’s clothes, bedding and books for the charity each month.
