Andrew is the Joint Head of the personal injury department. He has over 25 years of experience and along with his management duties he runs a case load of catastrophic personal injury work claims, including brain, spinal and amputation claims. He was formerly Head of the Industrial disease team, and the department continue to undertake this work focussing on asbestos disease and mesothelioma claims.
He is committed to his clients and relishes the challenge of difficult cases, having repeatedly taken on cases from other firms that were regarded as ‘problem files’ and bringing them to a successful conclusion.
Andrew is the firm’s appointed representative for Headway and the Spinal Injuries Association and has prepared and /or presented a number of successful tenders for the firm, including for a Major Trauma Service, a child brain injury charity, and more recently the SIA.
He is regularly praised in legal guides and deals with a mixed case load, predominantly brain, spinal and amputation, but also including cauda equina and brachial plexus injuries, and is entirely dedicated to helping the victims of serious injury. As a result, he is a Trustee at Headway Preston and Chorley, and regularly speaks on their behalf at fundraising events, also regularly having undertaken fundraising for other charities such as the SIA, Day One and the Child Brain Injury Trust.
During the last year he has successfully concluded a variety of cases including a paediatric brain injury case for £10million net of contributory negligence, an amputation case and a brachial plexus injury for £3.2m.
