David joined JMW’s Restructuring and Insolvency Department in December 2024.
David’s is experienced in all areas of contentious and non-contentious corporate and personal insolvency matters. His clients include insolvency practitioners, lenders, directors and shareholders.
In particular, David has significant experience in:
- pursuing and defending office holder claims against directors, including claims concerning overdrawn directors loan accounts, transactions at an undervalue, preference payments and misfeasance;
- distressed business and asset sales and purchases;
- asset recovery and realisations, including disposals of real property;
- office-holder applications including, administration extensions, remuneration applications and block transfer orders;
- validation orders;
- bringing and defending winding-up and bankruptcy petitions, including applications to enjoin presentation of winding-up petitions.
David has specialised in insolvency work for over 14 years and is mentioned in the 2025 edition of the Legal 500.
