Ellena qualified as a solicitor into our expanding family law team in September 2023.
Assisting Katie Lowe, Ellena has experience in a wide variety of family law matters including:
- Divorce and separation;
- Financial settlements on divorce;
- Arrangements for children including child arrangements orders, specific issue applications and cases involving allegations of domestic abuse;
- Applications for non-molestation and occupation orders;
Ellena joined JMW in February 2020, beginning her employment in the personal injury team before completing her training contact at the firm which included a year within the Family Department.
Prior to joining JMW Ellena graduated from the University of Warwick with a first-class honours degree in Philosophy before going on to achieve distinctions in both the Graduate Diploma in Law and the LPC LLM. During the later part of her studies Ellena also worked as a litigation executive working on complex fraudulent personal injury claims before joining JMW as a paralegal.
A pragmatist by nature, Ellena seeks to provide advice that cuts to the heart of the issues, whilst remaining conscious of the emotional impact of such cases. She provides bespoke and effective advice with client care at the forefront of her practice.
Ellena is a member of Resolution and promotes constructive solutions in accordance with the needs of the parties and any children.
When not working, Ellena enjoys reading, swimming and playing for JMWs women and non-binary football team. Ellena is a keen follower of most sports including Formula 1 and football, following Manchester City who she was once a player mascot for.
