Holly joined the JMW Construction & Engineering team in March 2022. Holly has worked in law since 2014 and has specialised in construction since 2017.
Holly has a broad range of experience acting for both public and private sector clients on both contentious and non-contentious construction matters.
Her non-contentious experience includes:
- the drafting & negotiation of building contracts, subcontracts, appointments, warranties, bonds, PCSA etc. for various new build, fit-out and refurbishment projects (residential and commercial, incl. BSF funded remediation) with project values between £1m - £50m.
- provision of construction support on transactions for Commercial Real Estate and Real Estate Financing teams (due diligence/ risk reports);
- preparing and/or amending commercial client’s standard terms; and
- advisory work on contract interpretation and effective administration of existing contract suites.
Her contentious work involves advising on disputes relating to non-payment, variations, delay, defects and contract termination. She has considerable experience of adjudications (including ‘smash & grab’ and true value payment disputes) and TCC litigation including adjudication enforcement, declaratory relief and restitution claims.
Outside of work, Holly is currently completing an LLM. She is due to graduate in 2025 and is looking forward to resuming a social life promptly thereafter.
Holly is a member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives, the Society of Construction Law and Women in Property.
