Jodie is a partner in the clinical negligence department. She is accredited by the Law Society’s specialist panel for clinical negligence and has experience of dealing with a wide-range of clinical negligence matters including:
· Spinal injuries, particularly cauda equina syndrome
· Stillbirth and neonatal death
· Delay in diagnosis of cancer
· Vision loss
· Meningitis
· Fatal claims
· Fractures
· Bowel and bladder damage
Jodie’s caseload is now primarily made up of complex brain and spinal injury cases and in July 2025 she secured a £1.5 million compensation settlement for a man in his 30s who suffered a delay in diagnosis of spinal injury cauda equina syndrome. This followed a settlement of £2.85 million in compensation Jodie secured in 2023 for another man whose life had been devastated by CES failures.
The 2025 edition of independent legal industry guide the Legal 500 ranks Jodie as a Next Generation Partner.
Brain injury charity Peeps H.I.E. appointed Jodie to their legal support panel in August 2023, approving her to provide legal advice to the families it helps. Jodie has organised and taken part in fundraisers for Peeps, including entering a team into the Manchester 10K run as well as a fire walk. These events raised nearly £1,500 for Peeps to help it provide its support services to families with a child who has sustained an H.I.E. brain injury.
Graduating from the University of Durham with a law degree in 2007, Jodie completed her LPC at the College of Law in Chester in 2009. She trained and qualified at Pannone LLP, before it was taken over by Slater & Gordon, where she worked until joining JMW in August 2017.
In her spare time, Jodie enjoys watching rugby league and is an avid supporter of Warrington Wolves. She is also a keen traveller and enjoys attending music festivals.
