Katie joined JMW in August 2022 as a paralegal within the Court of Protection department. She then commenced her Training Contract with the firm in September 2023.
Katie graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2020, with a First Class Degree in Law with Business Studies. She then studied the LPC LLM at the University of Law in Manchester, achieving a Distinction.
Prior to moving to JMW, Katie worked at Farleys Solicitors in their Manchester office, within the Actions Against Detaining Authorities Department. Katie specialised in inquest matters, particularly Article 2 inquests, representing bereaved families in respect of the inquest itself and then in any subsequent civil claim.
In her spare time, Katie enjoys running and is currently training for the Manchester Marathon. Katie also loves to travel, having recently been to Thailand and is due to visit the Cinque Terre shortly. Katie is also involved with JMW Aspire, in respect of their work with Manchester Refugee Support Network.
