Lee joined JMW in February 2024 as a partner in the Restructuring and Insolvency Team in the London office.
As a dual qualified solicitor and insolvency practitioner Lee has vast experience across all aspects of corporate and personal insolvency, with particular emphasis on contentious insolvency including:
- Misfeasance/breach of duty claims against directors.
- Acting for Administrators, Liquidators and Trustees in Bankruptcy (“officeholders”) in pursuing action to realise assets for the benefit of creditors.
- Urgent interim orders, such as Freezing Orders and other injunctions.
- Advising creditors and other stakeholders on their rights within an insolvency process.
- Acting for insolvency practitioners in advising on and assisting with their appointment as officeholders.
Lee is recognised in Legal 500 as a “seasoned partner specialising in commercial insolvency matters. He brings decades of experience and a cool touch to the most complex and challenging matters”.
Lee was previously a partner at a Top 100 London firm for 24 years, where he headed up the Insolvency Team and qualified as an insolvency practitioner in 2009.
Lee qualified as a solicitor in 1992, after studying to become a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and being awarded honours in the Law Society Final Exams.
Lee is a keen cyclist, enjoys going to see live music, wine collecting and is an avid West Ham fan.
