Mags joined JMW Solicitors in the Real Estate Finance Department in 2018.
With over eighteen years of experience in the property sector, Mags specialises in secured lending, particularly short-term finance for commercial, mixed-use, and residential properties for various banks, lending institutions, and specialist lenders.
Prior to joining JMW Solicitors, Mags honed her expertise in the residential remortgage sector. She acted for both lenders and private borrowers in residential and buy-to-let remortgages and transfer of equity transactions. Her extensive experience involved handling properties that required the postponement of charges and the sale of properties under Powers of Attorney and Grants of Representation.
Mags also has experience in acting for high street and subprime lenders in the recovery of secured lending. Initially, she worked at Manchester firm HL Interactive LLP (a subsidiary of Halliwells) and later at Shoosmiths LLP, where she established their Mortgage Rehabilitation Department. This department collaborated closely with litigation managers at lenders to create a bespoke service tailored to meet their specific needs.
Outside of work, Mags enjoys reading, walking her dog, and spending quality time with friends and family.
