Nisha joined JMW in April 2023 in the Corporate Immigration Department.
Nisha has specialised in UK immigration law for over 11 years and has extensive experience of advising both businesses and individuals on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious immigration matters, including:
- Advising employers from various sectors such as, professional services, education, finance, media, pharmaceutical and healthcare, in all aspects of the sponsorship regime including licensing as a sponsor with the Home Office;
- Advising on compliance issues and conducting compliance audits and providing training for employers; and
- Preparing and submitting skilled worker, Senior or Specialist Worker visas and dependent visa applications for the employees and their family members.
Nisha’s breadth of experience in individual immigration also includes advising and assisting clients on:
- Partner visas;
- Child and Adult Dependent visas;
- Human Rights applications outside of the immigration rules, visit visas, returning resident visas; and
- Investor and Entrepreneur extension applications.
Nisha can assist individuals from their initial visa application to indefinite leave to remain and British citizenship. She is able to empathise with people in all areas of immigration and has been recognised for her “excellent client care skills” in Legal 500 (2022) and was named as a 'leading associate' in the 2025 edition. Nisha has also been ranked as a 'rising star' by The Legal 500 in 2022 and 2023.
Nisha graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a 2:1 and completed her LPC at Nottingham Law school in 2005.
Worked as a paralegal, trained and qualified at Duncan Lewis Solicitors in December 2008. Prior to joining JMW, Nisha worked for 10 years within the immigration team at Russell-Cooke.
Nisha is a keen skier and has a passion for travelling.
