Pete joined JMW in 2017 as a Paralegal in the Commercial Litigation department before starting his Training Contract in September 2019, working in the Private Client, Corporate and Contentious Probate departments during his training.

Pete has worked in the Private Client sector for five years, qualifying as a Solicitor in JMW’s Private Client Department in September 2021. Pete has strong technical knowledge and wide-ranging experience in a variety of lifetime estate planning and estate administration matters, serving as a key contact within his department and a reliable source for colleagues in other departments whose clients require the full-service offering available at JMW. Combined with his technical abilities, Pete has an empathetic approach to dealing with sensitive client matters, helping make difficult discussions more comfortable and taking burdens away from clients who may be going through difficult periods of their life.

Prior to working at JMW, Pete graduated from the University of Sheffield with a First Class History Degree. Pete worked in recruitment for Sainsbury’s before completing his Graduate Diploma in Law in 2016 with a Distinction. Pete was awarded the Law First Scholarship from the University of Law in 2016 with a prize of £5,000 and completed Legal Practice Course in 2017 with a Distinction.

Pete is an avid football fan, supporting Manchester City and regularly playing goalkeeper for JMW at weekly 5-a-side and at charity tournaments. Pete has a keen interest in watches, amassing a small collection and exploring the building and servicing of watches in his spare time.
