Philip joined JMW in June 2020 as a Partner and is Joint Head of Family Law in London.
Described as a “Leading Individual” in the Legal 500, Philip specialises in all areas of family law from negotiating big-money financial settlements on divorce to dealing with highly contested children cases. His clients include professionals, homemakers, entrepreneurs, celebrities and sports people.
His cases frequently have an international dimension and involve family companies, offshore funds and trusts. He is a specialist in contested international jurisdiction cases and those involving the non-disclosure of assets.
With a strong equine background, Philip has a particular interest in farming families and cases involving international showjumping, dressage or showing.
A “go to” for Pre and Post Nuptial Agreements, Philip regularly negotiates agreements involving significant national and international wealth.
He has extensive experience with national and international relocation of children, as well as child abduction to Hague and non-Hague convention countries.
Philip also advises non-married clients on family and property disputes arising on relationship breakdown and represents non-married parents within “Schedule 1” claims for the benefit of their children.
