Phil joined JMW as a partner and deputy head of property litigation in October 2023.
Phil was previously a partner at a leading Legal 500 and Tier 1 Chambers firm, having headed up their property litigation team.

- adverse possession and trespass (advising and conducting litigation in connection with the acquisition of land in the Heathrow expansion zone worth circa £43 million)
- boundary disputes, neighbour disputes, nuisance claims, trespass, easements (prescriptive and express) and rights of way claims (advising private individuals and developers)
- commercial matters under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, lease renewal and termination, forfeiture, dilapidations, break notices, breach of covenant and tenant insolvency

Phil has a broad range of experience acting for private individuals, family-owned companies and trusts, high net worth individuals, multinational companies, national companies, commercial landlords and tenants (in a variety of sectors), portfolio owners and management companies.
Phil has over 15 years of experience in dealing with complex and high value property litigation matters in the County Court, High Court and the Court of Appeal.
He is recognised as a ‘Next Generation Partner’ by Legal 500 and is ranked in Chambers and Partners for Real Estate Litigation.
