Sofia joined JMW in August 2024 as a Solicitor in the Business Crime and Regulation team in the Manchester office.
After studying an undergraduate degree in English Language at the University of Manchester, Sofia completed a Graduate Diploma in Law and a Legal Practice Course. Sofia has over 8 years of experience in Civil Litigation, during which time, she completed a training contract at her previous firm.
Sofia honed her expertise in investigative work from defending civil proceedings involving fraudulent motor claims, managing these cases from initiation through to trial. This experience equipped her with a solid background for her transition into Business Crime and Regulatory law.
Sofia works on a diverse range of cases, from pre-charge investigations to work throughout the criminal procedure; her work includes: -

- Serious sexual offences

- Account Freezing Orders
Sofia is detail-oriented and approaches cases with a robust yet practical mindset. She values clear client communication and straightforward advice, whilst also providing support to clients throughout the legal process.
Outside work, Sofia is an A-award netball umpire who also enjoys playing netball and boxing-interval training.
