Headed by Steve Morris, the team has the experience, expertise and tenacity to assist with a huge range of business disputes, from the simple to the extremely complex. 

The Role

We are seeking a qualified Solicitor (3+ PQE) to join the Manchester commercial litigation team as an Associate Solicitor. The team’s work covers all aspects of commercial litigation, providing a solid and rounded caseload, including:

  • Shareholder disputes
  • Alternative dispute resolution (ADR)
  • Banking and finance disputes
  • Company disputes
  • Contract disputes
  • Debt recovery
  • Injunctions
  • Intellectual property disputes
  • Media/reputation management
  • Professional negligence
  • Sports disputes

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the one of the biggest litigation teams in Manchester. You will be joining a supportive team where everyone plays a vital role in achieving the best outcomes for our clients.  Staff are appreciated and acknowledged for their successes.

The successful candidate will be managing their own caseload, as well as supporting the three partners in the team with their cases.

Skills/Knowledge Required

  • A minimum of 3 years PQE working in a broad Commercial Litigation role.
  • The ability to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of legal principles and court procedures in relation to general litigation, and in particular, commercial work.
  • Experience of county and high court litigation.
  • Experience in company/commercial/contractual disputes
  • Good management of time recording, billing and recovery of costs and disbursements.
  • Team player
  • Technically strong with a commercial appreciation
  • Full working knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules and Solicitors Accounts Rules.
  • The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for business development.
