We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, highly motivated, and commercially minded Marketing Manager for our award-winning Clinical Negligence team, which works on behalf of people who have been harmed by poor medical care. This role will be based in our Manchester headquarters
Our team is recognised as one of the best in its field nationally and we require someone with the professional and personal skills required to maintain and enhance our reputation. To be successful in this role you will ideally have marketing experience within the professional services sector and will have proven experience in developing and leading campaigns both on and offline. This role requires experience of working across the full marketing mix, but with a particular focus on digital marketing, with the ability to create high quality content. You must also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable working with senior managers from across the business.
Reporting to the Head of Clinical Negligence you will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, CRM systems, CMS systems, social media and other digital platforms, as well as a sound understanding of content planning, creation, and delivery.
The Role
- To prepare and implement an annual marketing plan for the clinical negligence department.
- Work closely with and manage the departments relationship with the firm’s digital agency by providing guidance and direction, planning, and evaluation of the effectiveness of website campaigns, PPC campaigns and onsite content.
- Manage the clinical negligence website pages to ensure they are up to date and performing effectively. Liaise with the firm’s digital agency to gain sign-off on new content in a timely and efficient manner.
- Analyse the true success of digital campaigns, translating data into recommendations and plans for revising the digital marketing campaign activities. Monitor and optimise campaign progress regularly and produce reports to show the success.
- Manage the production of a range of content for the website to include blogs, vlogs and videos. Work with the firm’s preferred videographer when required.
- Draft written case studies on successful clinical negligence cases, in an engaging and consumer-friendly format, to be published on the JMW website
- Work with the firm’s Social Media & Content Manager on the creation and posting of organic social media content for the clinical negligence department.
- Work alongside the firm’s digital agency to help implement and monitor any paid social media campaigns and report back on effectiveness.
- Work closely with the firm’s Director of Communications to source PR stories for the media that will generate positive media coverage for the department.
- Develop and manage various relationships with the departments supported charities. Provide communications for them about the clinical negligence team when required. Attend meetings with the charities and help provide added value for them by arranging legal clinics and other initiatives to help promote the work of the department. Raise the department profile through these charity relationships.
- Organise and manage any events, seminars and conferences for the clinical negligence team and charity partners including booking venues, preparing mailing lists, preparing invitations, managing responses, preparing name badges and undertaking registration or similar event activities.
- Working with the clinical negligence department on their legal directory submissions and ensure they are completed and submitted on time.
- Work with the Head of Clinical Negligence on drafting any department award submissions.
- Work with the firm’s database officer to ensure all the departments professional contacts are up to date on the firm’s CRM. Help prepare invitee lists for firm-wide events for the department.
- Assist with the planning of the departments marketing budget and help manage the departments marketing budget.
- Analysis and report on the effectiveness of all marketing campaigns to the head of the department on a regular basis and make any recommendations.
- Using the firms preferred supplier to order branded merchandise and any print materials when required.
- Work closely with central marketing team and the PI Marketing Manager to ensure all marketing campaigns are aligned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:.
- A minimum of 5 year’s proven marketing experience in a similar role, either within a B2B or B2C environment but professional services experience is preferable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate confidently in a corporate setting with clients and contact.
- The ability to develop and maintain strong internal relationships at all levels.
- Strong writing ability for the creation of content such as case studies, leaflets, brochures.
- An excellent understanding of digital marketing and be experienced in analytics to monitor and report on any digital campaigns to make informed recommendations.
- Ability to work with initiative, enthusiasm and flexibility and adaptable and comfortable working with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently
- Excellent IT skills including a good working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel and ability to use a CRM system and CMS when required.
