They work in the regulated and unregulated lending spheres on both a dual and sole representation basis. They advise a wide range of clients including investors, institutional lenders, banks, specialist financiers, peer-to-peer lenders, fin-tech companies, short-term bridging lenders and mezzanine funders.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a Paralegal to join the Real Estate Finance Department in our Manchester office. The role will be supporting fee earners with their caseloads.
Previous relevant experience in Real Estate Finance, Real Estate Residential or Real Estate Commercial preferred. This will be a fantastic opportunity for the successful applicant to develop their legal knowledge in a friendly and supportive environment.
The role will be fully office-based initially, with the option to work from home one day a week following a successful settling in period and subject to performance.
Role Responsibilities:
- Drafting security documentation for checking by supervising fee earner.
- Making and receiving calls to clients and third parties involved in the transaction.
- Drafting mortgage reports under the supervision of your supervising fee earner.
- Responding promptly to requests for updates from clients, agents, brokers and introducers.
- Updating introducer / update portals where necessary.
- Ordering documents from HMLR.
- Ordering bankruptcy searches, priority searches and company searches.
- Drafting and submitting MR01’s to Companies House.
- Preparing files for completion.
- Dealing with files at completion stage including preparing outgoing digital payments.
- Undertaking Lawyer Checker and Company Court searches.
- Ensuring that the case management system is fully up to date
- Submitting applications to Land Registry and HMRC.
- Dealing with redemptions.
- Ensuring clients and introducers receive the best possible service at all times.
