  • Ensure requirements of Lexcel and other audits are maintained continuously.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be able to demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of criminal and regulatory law.
  • Have up to two years’ PQE in a leading criminal firm (in the case of a qualified solicitor) or equivalent experience in criminal law (if accredited police station representative).
  • Have completed the police station accreditation qualification or be a solicitor with experience and confidence in their ability to advise clients in interview under caution with a variety of investigating agencies.
  • Be willing to be on an out-of-hours rota for police station representation in London and the surrounds, and ideally have a full driving licence.
  • Have experience working on cases in the Magistrates’ Court and Crown Court.
  • Experience in advising on professional misconduct and disciplinary proceedings, in particular police misconduct proceedings, is preferred.
  • Have a keen interest in participating in, and contributing to, the team’s marketing and business development activities including writing articles for publications and blogs for the website as well as taking part in networking events and other business development opportunities.

This role will require the ability to:

  • Communicate effectively and professionally at all times, both internally and externally.
  • Time record effectively and to adapt quickly to new systems and working practices.
