JMW Advise the South African Premier Soccer League on Sponsorship Deal

The corporate team at full service law firm JMW Solicitors LLP have advised the South African Premier Soccer League on a 5 year sponsorship with bank Absa.
The corporate team led by Head of Corporate Mike Blood advised The South African Premier Soccer League on a further 5 year sponsorship deal of the PSL league with bank Absa. Absa renewed their sponsorship of the Absa Premiership in South Africa for a further 5 years taking the partnership to 15 years. The agreement is worth R500 Million, about £30 million pounds.
Head of Corporate at JMW, Mike Blood, worked alongside PSL Chairman and owner of the Orlando Pirates Irvin Khoza, as well as their in-house Counsel Mike Murphy and Marketing Consultant Peter Mancer to help secure the deal with Absa who are a subsidiary of Barclays Bank.
The 2017/18 South African Premier Soccer League season kicked off on Friday 18 August.
Commenting on the PSL sponsorship deal Mike Blood from JMW said:
