Kathryn joined JMW in May 2017 as a paralegal. She subsequently commenced her training contract with the firm in September 2020, qualifying into the Catastrophic Personal Injury department in September 2022.
Kathryn has experience in a wide range of Personal Injury matters including:
- Employers liability claims;
- Public liability claims;
- Road Traffic Accidents, acting for Claimants who have sustained injuries as drivers, passengers, pedestrians or motorcyclists;
As a member of the catastrophic injuries sub-team in the department, Kathryn concentrates on high value claims involving serious injuries including traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, amputations, orthopaedic injuries and chronic pain.
Kathryn graduated from the University of Chester with a 2:1 law degree. She then went on to study the LPC with Masters at the University of Law in Leeds.
Kathryn is a member of JMW’s CSR committee and has taken part in various fundraising activities raising money for charities including the Snowdon Push for BackUp Trust, the Yorkshire 3 Peaks for Disabilities Trust, and a Skydive for the Alzheimer’s Society. As a trainee, Kathryn worked as a Charity Director for Manchester Trainee Solicitor Group for two years, organising various charitable activities which raised approximately £12,500 for We Love Mcr Charity between 2021 and 2022.
Outside of work, Kathryn enjoys playing badminton, baking and hiking, having completed the National 3 Peaks in less than 24 hours. She is also currently renovating her 17th Century house, which takes up most of her weekends.
